How to win fights with your spouse using the scriptures

For those spouses who are in a perfect marriage and never fight you can stop reading now. I mean it, you can go back to your perfect life and disregard this blog post. For the other 99.9% of spouses that have an imperfect marriage and occasionally (or frequently) fight, don’t you want some scriptures that you can quote that helps you win the fight? Those powerful scriptures that prove that you are right and your spouse is wrong. Well you are in luck, after winning and losing many fights with my wife, okay mostly losing them because I have a lot to learn, here are some great scriptures that may come in handy next time you get in a fight.

You have to love me – 1 Corinthians 7:3
- Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
Tell your parents to keep out of it: Genesis 2:24
- Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Don’t go to bed angry – Ephesians 4:26-27

The Husband’s Responsibilities:
- Love your Wife - Ephesians 5:25-29
  - 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
  - 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
  - 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
  - 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
  - 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church
- Be the head of the family - 1 Corinthians 11:3
  - But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
- Provide for your family - 1 Timothy 5:8
  - But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
Wife’s Responsibilities:
- Help your husband - Genesis 2:18
  - And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Guide the house - 1 Timothy 5:14
  - I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
- Love your kids and husband – Titus 2:4
  - That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children
